Vision
By December 2012, the Burlingame Neighborhood Network will exist as a network of active neighborhood groups throughout the city of Burlingame that are integrated into the city-wide emergency response system and which can actively participate in a city-wide emergency drill or real response to natural or manmade disasters

BNN: Educate, Connect, Prepare for a better community
Objectives / Goals
- Build active outreach programs of groups from 2 to 20 / year
- Increase active communications list from 250 to 5000
- Increase number of neighborhood activities from 10 / year to 100
- Increase BNN communications from 3 / year to 50 / year
- Build social media following / engagement from 0 to 1000
Strategies
- Inc outreach by developing email, social media & educational programs
- Increase awareness by connecting with other groups (service, churches clubs etc)
- Inc # of groups by identifying areas and proactively encouraging groups
- Inc # of block captains by identifying and tracking coverage and encouraging recruits
- Inc overall preparedness in city by publicizing BNN through web, email and mailings

- Create web & social media strategy by March 31, implement by June 30
- Develop email campaign management plan by May 30
- Create membership tracking system by April 30
- Create board recruitment program by May 30
- Develop group matching program by June
- Initiate newcomer welcome package by July
