The documentation committee, headed by Katchy Schmidt, is responsible for creating documents and materials to support the BNN groups. This includes Search out best in class content , providing materials to educate, prepare and connect , & maintaining and refreshing resource documents

Vision
By December 2012, the Burlingame Neighborhood Network will exist as a network of active neighborhood groups throughout the city of Burlingame that are integrated into the city-wide emergency response system and which can actively participate in a city-wide emergency drill or real response to natural or manmade disasters.
Mission
Building a network of neighbors prepared & self sufficient in case of a major disaster.
Objectives / Goals
- Increase the number of BBN Block Captain materials from 1 to 3
- Increase the number of BNN preparedness documents from 3 to 5
- Increase the number of BNN communication documents from 1 to 3
- Increase the usage of the BNN materials (downloads)
Strategies
- Understand what BNN content currently exists by doing a review and assessment of the current documents by type and audience
- Inc the # of Block Captain documents by identifying key documents required and developing materials to fill the gaps
- Inc the # of BNN preparedness documents by identifying key documents required and developing materials to fill the gaps
- Learn from best in class practices and materials from other cities and organizations and incorporate that into our work

- Complete the BNN materials assessment and identify gaps by April
- Reach out to other cities and organizations to secure examples of best in class practices and materials and document them by May
- Develop Block Captain materials by July
