The Program Planning Committee, headed by Holly Daley, is responsible for planning & coordinating programs to support BNN’s purpose. This includes arranging presentation for the quarterly meetings, developing training exercises & identifying outreach opportunities.

Vision
By December 2012, the Burlingame Neighborhood Network will exist as a network of active neighborhood groups throughout the city of Burlingame that are integrated into the city-wide emergency response system and which can actively participate in a city-wide emergency drill or real response to natural or manmade disasters

BNN: Educate, Connect, Prepare for a better community
Objectives / Goals
- Arrange programs and workshops for quarterly Block Captain meetings
- Develop and implement a table-top exercise for Block Captains
- Establish a Meetings Logistics team
- Create a ‘boxed’ presentation of BNN’s purpose for presenting externally
- Identify external outreach opps (Lions, Rotary, local TV, hospitals, Chamber)
- Develop presentation ideas and speaker resources.
Strategies
- Support the Education and Prepare focus of BNN
- Increase BNN awareness via informational programs
- Coordinate readily with other BNN Committees for overall BNN promotion
- Increase collaboration with other Peninsula communities via shared presentations
- Broaden awareness of BNN via compelling speakers and programs.

- Form a BNN Community Programs team by February 28
- Form a BNN Meeting Logistics team by February 28
- Draft a 2011 calendar of event dates by March 31
- Create an initial list of program ideas and resources by March 31
- Develop a table top exercise by July 31
